Dear Members of the Salem Community:
As you know, Salem Academy and College has been engaged in a community-wide process to create a vision for the future, to identify a set of strategic themes and to determine related institutional priorities as we head toward our 250th year and beyond. The Steering Committee for the Strategic Plan has hosted a series of interviews, focus groups, and open forum events beginning in January to solicit input from members of the Academy and College community. On April 13, we will host an Innovations Forum to provide external perspectives and discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities that can inform the future direction of Salem. All members of the Salem community are invited to attend this event and I invite your participation.
On Friday afternoon, April 13 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Main Gym, we will convene a panel of external experts, each representing an innovative perspective, to participate in this Forum. Collectively, these individuals will assist us by sharing their own leadership experiences with transformational change, identifying emerging trends and practices in education, workforce development, other organizational models and their potential impact on institutions such as ours. We have selected these individuals based on their in-depth expertise and experience, as well as their ability to objectively share their perspectives about the future of higher education.
Ed Hudner and Jenn Desjarlais, our CHP consultants, are managing the Forum for us. They have extensive experience in designing and managing this type of strategic planning process within education.
I am extremely excited about the potential impact of these events on the future direction of Salem Academy and College. I value your participation and look forward to seeing you at the Forum. A response is required to reserve your space at this event. Please send any questions to Diana Blanchard via email (email@example.com) and please respond by clicking here at your earliest convenience to confirm your attendance. Thank you.
Chair, Steering Committee for the Strategic Plan
